Artificial Bliss Recordings Ltd. (ABR), Luton's first independent electronic music label, was launched in December 2005 by Luton based music producers Simon Curry, Chris Curry and Carl Mitchell. Having already gained success in their own genres, and currently out of contract, the 3 decided to put together a label tied to no particular genre but to new, innovative and original music. Starting with 8 highly talented producers from the UK, Spain and Poland, ABR made a name for itself in the early part of 2006 by releasing Singles and EPs through the official ABR digital download store. Over time ABR has expanded its roster to include "non-exclusive" artists and the current, ever increasing, ABR artist count stands at 22.
In mid 2006, photographer and media-specialist Jason Oodian joined ABR to aid its image and boost interest in ABR's music. Today ABR continues to grow in popularity, gaining music deals for TV and film, with ABR artists continually receiving critical acclaim from the underground music scene.
In late 2006, the ABR digital download store was replaced by Audiorascal.com our official partner for all new releases from ABR as well as other top independent record labels. However, as a measure of the quality of ABR's output, over 70 other digital download stores now also supply ABR's music to the four corners of the globe! Coming soon, ABR plans official CD releases making our music available to you in your favourite music stores throughout the UK and Europe.
ABR will continue to bring to the world's ears only the very best in innovative and creative electronic, and alternative, music.
